We can use more churches to join in and co-sponsor a missionary - talk to your pastor about participating.

IRS INCREASES MILEAGE RATE
Pastors need to know: the IRS standard rate will increase to 58.5 cents a mile for all business miles driven from July 1, 2008, through December 31, 2008. This is an increase of eight (8) cents from the 50.5 cent rate in effect for the first six months of 2008. Also, Medical/Moving rate increased from 19 to 29 cents per mile and Charitable (donated) miles remain the same.
PASTOR GARRY BROOKS
Pastor Garry Brooks will be leaving New Life Baptist Church to become pastor of Valley Baptist Church of Sanders, AZ. July 6 will be Pastor Garry's final service with New Life. During his tenure here he has led them in building renovation and the new Worship Center is nearly ready for use. Garry and Diane will be missed in our Association, at the same time we congratulate Valley Baptist Church as we know that they will be blessed in the days ahead.
ON MISSIONS CELEBRATION
Plan ahead and be sure your church has voted to participate in the Associational On Missions Celebration to take place September 27 through October 1 this fall. We have twenty missionaries scheduled to be in our association to share in each participating church. Each participating church will have International, North American and State Missionaries speaking that week.
Contact the Associational office to be a participating church. Smaller churches may want to partner with another church in order to get in on this wonderful opportunity.
Baptist Ridge Camp
We invite you to participate in our weekly volunteer work day each Tuesday. We start with coffee and fellowship around 9 am, then do some "chores" followed by lunch and a few more "chores". Leave when you need to, but be sure to stay as long as you like.
