Psalm 33:12 - “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com. Copyright (C) NIV. All Rights Reserved.

DOM David Mifflin and friend Chuck Appleton at Mount Rushmore on a mission trip to Sturgis, South Dakota with the Dakota Baptist Convention and the North American Mission Board.

Welcome to Fellowship Baptist Association!

Fellowship Baptist Association is a network of Southern Baptist Convention and Missouri Baptist Convention churches committed to work together in an effort to follow the Great Commandment and fulfill the Great Commission.  Our churches are primarily located in Benton, Hickory, and St. Clair counties in the great state of Missouri.....and we hope you'll consider making one of them your church home!!

A seminary professor once asked a question of some international students, "What do you understand the term 'Fellowship' to mean?"  There was a moment of silence and one finally said, "Fellows in the same ship?"  Now, isn't that even more true than what we usually think of "Fellowship?"!  I hope as you think of Fellowship Baptist Association, it's in the light of this unique definition....that we are here together.....serving Christ and one another like we are in the same ship depending on one another and working together to bring God glory and honor!!

Jesus was once asked, "What is the greatest Commandment?"  His reply was that we are to love the Lord our God with all that we are.  Folks, that's God's desire for FELLOWSHIP with us!!  He went on to say that the second commandment was similar.....to love our neighbor as much as we love ourself.  Sounds to me like FELLOWSHIP with one another.  Ultimately we are to follow the Great Commission -- to go into the world with the message of Christ.  Now, doesn't that sound like a command to bring others into FELLOWSHIP with our Lord?  No wonder we like the sound of FELLOWSHIP Baptist Association!

I hope if you are considering a move to our area....or even a visit to our area....you'll make one of our churches your choice of a place of worship!

Keep your Nose in the Word, the Son in your Eyes, and May God Bless you Real Good!  Bro.Dave

Fellowship Baptist Association exists: to assist the churches in fulfilling the Great Commission; promoting unity, Christian fellowship, and Baptist doctrine; and be a channel for information and resources.

ATTENTION PASTORS

REPAIRING THE BREACH

On August 6 & 7 Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City will be hosting "Repairing the Breach."  The conference will be presented by Senior Pastor Monte Shinkle and Pete & Debbie Livingston.  Pete is Executive Pastor at Concord.  He and Debbie have been involved in marriage and family ministry for over 15 years.  They have presented conferences for the IMB, NAMB, local associations and in many  local churches.  This is the purpose of the conference as presented by Concord:  "Imagine what could happen if the pastor across town or across the state was laboring with you strengthen marriages and families.  Imagine that statewide, faith community leaders emphasized family collectively, simultaneously and persistently.  Imagine if couples really understood the significance of marriage and what it could be if they did things God's way.  Imagine somebody wanted to GIVE youinformation and materials that you could use to enhance your effectiveness with families in your church.  All that can change from imagination to reality if collectively pastors and their wives will take part in the 'Repairing the Breach' conference."

Register through Concord Baptist Church website (www.concordjc.org -- Repairing the Breach).  There is a $10.00 fee to complete registration, used to plan and prepare materials.  HOWEVER -- the $10.00 will be returned to participants at the close of the conference.  August 6 -- noon to 5:30, August 7 -- 9:00 to noon.

Colorado Chainsaw Mission Trip

We are putting together a "Chainsaw" mission trip to Rocky Mount Camp (owned and operated by Riverside Baptist Church, Denver) in Grand Lake, Colorado.  The pine trees in this camp have been devastated by the Pine Beetle, and there needs to be a lot of clean-up in the effort to prevent fire damage.  We are planning to leave on Sunday afternoon, September 20 and returning on Saturday, September 27.  The cost will be $275.00.  This will include fuel, food at the camp, lodging at the camp and two nights in motels during the trip.  This is based on 12 people going.  Food during travel and any souviners....well, you're on your own.  You can sign up for this trip by sending your check to the associational office....please memo your check to "Chainsaw Mission Trip."  If you have questions, please give us a call here at the office!  Continue monitoring this announcement for final details!
