Matthew 5:43-45 - “[Love for Enemies] "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com. Copyright (C) NIV. All Rights Reserved. GPS UPDATE:
Just a little update for GPS... By now you should be in the process of enlisting prayer-walkers and routes for their distribution of the doorhangers. You could also be preparing the doorhanger insert with the information you want for your church. I should be getting the doorhangers in the next week or two...I will contact you as soon as I get them. And finally....it's never too early to begin praying for this great project -- for your community -- and for the folks who will be involved!!
Men/Boys Chili & Soup Supper
The Men/Boys Chili and Soup Supper has been RESCHEDULED to February 23. It will still be at FBC, Warsaw at 6:30 PM. See ya then!!
Welcome to Fellowship Baptist Association!
Fellowship Baptist Association is a network of Southern Baptist Convention and Missouri Baptist Convention churches committed to work together in an effort to follow the Great Commandment and fulfill the Great Commission. Our churches are primarily located in Benton, Hickory, and St. Clair counties in the great state of Missouri.....and we hope you'll consider making one of them your church home!!
A seminary professor once asked a question of some international students, "What do you understand the term 'Fellowship' to mean?" There was a moment of silence and one finally said, "Fellows in the same ship?" Now, isn't that even more true than what we usually think of "Fellowship?"! I hope as you think of Fellowship Baptist Association, it's in the light of this unique definition....that we are here together.....serving Christ and one another like we are in the same ship depending on one another and working together to bring God glory and honor!!
Jesus was once asked, "What is the greatest Commandment?" His reply was that we are to love the Lord our God with all that we are. Folks, that's God's desire for FELLOWSHIP with us!! He went on to say that the second commandment was similar.....to love our neighbor as much as we love ourself. Sounds to me like FELLOWSHIP with one another. Ultimately we are to follow the Great Commission -- to go into the world with the message of Christ. Now, doesn't that sound like a command to bring others into FELLOWSHIP with our Lord? No wonder we like the sound of FELLOWSHIP Baptist Association!
I hope if you are considering a move to our area....or even a visit to our area....you'll make one of our churches your choice of a place of worship!
Keep your Nose in the Word, the Son in your Eyes, and May God Bless you Real Good! Bro.Dave

Vital Signs of a Healthy Church The “Show-Me Health State Emphasis” was introduced at the 2009 Missouri Baptist Convention Annual Meeting that was held October 26-28, 2009 in Raytown. The central focus of the emphasis is the Vital Signs of a Healthy Church Health Assessment Tool that was developed by a Church Health Task Force made up of Missouri Pastors, Director of Missions, Laypeople and the MBC Church Health Team.
The implementation Phase of the Show-Me Health emphasis will begin during spring 2010. We will conduct a series of 16 Church Health Clinics around the state in March and April. Our hope is that pastors will bring up to 10 of their Church Leadership Team and staff with them to one of these clinics. At the clinic we will share the Vital Signs Health Assessment Tool with the participants and help each team take and score the assessment. We will also lead the teams in discussing the results of the assessment. We will then provide each church the help that is needed to address any areas that they discovered they are unhealthy in.
